Kirk Hammett Crybaby Wah Pedal Review

Following on from the successful Dimebag Darrell Crybaby, Dunlop has introduced a Kirk Hammett model, due to penchant for Wah in his lead playing. If you were hoping for a better paint job this time, you’re out of luck. Dunlop has stuck an image of a skeletal foot on the rocker. And, unlike the Dimebag version, Kirk’s doesn’t come with any embellishments to tweak the sound in any way. This is a straight-talking Wah pedal.

95Q Crybaby Wah Pedal Review

The original Crybaby was one of the best pedals in the world, so it makes sense that Dunlop attempt to build on that success by adapting the original to cater for niche audiences. The 95Q is one of those adaptations incorporating a ‘Q’ control and a volume boost. Whereas the Q control varies the intensity of Wah by altering the bandpass shape, the volume boost can add an extra 15db to your signal – both useful additions to have.
